[new designer drugs remix]

Always a fan of anything Designer Drugs touches, their latest remix of Anthonio by recent Berlin resident Annie is no exception. The track uses Annie's electro pop flavor but further improves upon the song with Designer Drugs signature melodic hooks, making the song perfect for the dance floor.

Annie - Anthonio (Designer Drugs Remix)

And if you don't know who Designer Drugs are by now, they are Michael and Theo, two talented producers out of NYC. They have been moving their way up the electro ladder throughout the blogosphere for a while now and have shown no signs of slowing down.

If you missed it the first time around, don't forget to grab up the hectic remix of Designer Drugs done by Le Castle Vania and fellow label mates Computer Club and Rrrrump.

And of course, alot of these songs are available for purchase on their respective artists' myspaces, so help these guys out and throw them some dimes.

Thanks Going Other Places and BigStereo.

[passion pit remix contest + kids at the bar]

The guys over at Buffetlibre are running a remix competition for Passion Pit - Sleepyhead (video below, dude) as part of the Proyecto Batidora. So head over and download your song stems and give it a shot. One of the better remixes so far comes from an Oklahoma City group Kids At The Bar.

Kids At The Bar are an electro project from OKC's dj/producer Rad and studio producer/engineer Matt Buckley. They are a new dj pair making some nice remixes and doing their thing on the scene. They're currently working on many new remixes and finishing up their EP, so keep checking back for more from them. We're going to leave you with their Sleepyhead remix as well as a house remix they did for Glasnost, an electro act from Texas.

[Bloody Beetroots ft. Steve Aoki]

The Bloody Beetroots team up with Steve Aoki to bring the blogosphere and music world a damn good tune. I'm not going to pretend to be too cool and go on a long ass rant about how much cooler I am than this video and everything in it, unlike a certain other blog. WARP is a bangin track, and I'd love to see half of the wannabe bangers out there replicate it. I'm not a huge Steve Aoki fan, but I can tell you this.. if nothing else, give the man props for bringing his rich boy toys for The Bloody Beetroots to tear it up with. All I'm sayin is quit hatin when someone overachieves.

[Calvin Harris]

Calvin Harris is hittin it off with his new video for "I'm Not Alone". Calvin has always been keeping feet on the dance floor, and this turns it up a notch. The beat in this is as boss as they come, I won't be surprised at all if this gets him some much deserved fame. Either way he's a real gem in the rough, and always knows whatsup.

Don't forget to show Calvin Harris some <3 and visit his myspace.

[and we're off!]

Pop open the wine coolers, because DiscoHands is officially open. I don't want to waste any time explaining who or what we are, I think that will come naturally as we go along. It's going to be fun, and we're going to try and keep everyone up to date with what's going on in the disco/electro/synth/house/etc scene. I've been inspired by some truly amazing blogs out there (see: buddy system) and feel that we can contribute to the community.

Also, congrats to Discobelle on being selected by Scion AV to release their own compilation. I'm sure it's going to be great. They even left us with the opening track.

Top Billin – Playboy Anthem

Gotta love a preview.
